A huge thank you to all those fantastic people and business’s who joined us last night at St Mawes Hotel for dinner to help raise the £200 needed to send Pamela on the Psychology Course.

St Mawes Hotel decorated the restaurant for us in Christmas cheer, complete with tree,and lights.  Despite the horrid weather everyone made it and the restaurant was at it’s maximum capacity.  That did not hamper the service of the lovely food which we all thoroughly enjoyed.  

We had a really good raffle thanks to

Tessa Farnsworth who donated a signed first edition copy of her recent book “ Up with the larks”

Anne O’Grady who donated a treatment voucher at the relaxing Carne Bray Spar, situated in the Nare hotel.

Anne and family who donated a £50 gift voucher to be spent at their Art Gallery and Gift shop in Elerkey House Veryan.

Donations from  Richards Specialist Cars, Turning World Recording Studios, Trenona Farm Holidays,  Elerkey House, Eden Lodge ,Maen Karne and Trelagossick Farm Holidays were gratefully accepted.

Jill Trugdeon donated a Roof Sheet and with everyone's donations on the night we raised a total of £240, which exceeded our expectations.  The additional money will be used towards the children's Christmas Party that Angie and Alan are organising out there.

Thanks to Cornish Services we were able to talk live to Pamela at the orphanage using the internet which was very moving and uplifting.  She wanted to thank everyone for all their help over the past year, how together we had achieved so much and told us just how much help this course will give to the children.   

After a scrummy desert we  were entertained by the International Singer Songwriter Martin Kidd with some songs from his latest work.

Liz still has some hand crafted Fairy Cards which she is selling to raise funds for the children’s Christmas party.
